here’s a sonnet that i wrote for english awhile ago and i just felt like sharing.
Ever since the very first time we met,
I knew that I had to get to know you.
The look in your eye was hard to forget,
and you were the first love I ever knew.
Sweet kisses and quiet walks in the park
I’ll always remember the laughs we shared
Each moment spent with you was never dark
Your warm embraces told me that you cared
The soft caress of your hand against mine
Never thought you’d be the guy I’d turn to
Still wishing it was still the same this time
Who knew that you’d prove to be so untrue
All the promises you made were broken
My heart bleeds with the words left unspoken… |
